Integrating Rehabilitation Into the Cancer Care Continuum

There has never been a more urgent need to integrate rehabilitation into the oncology care continuum. A cancer diagnosis is one of the most common, disabling and costly diagnoses affecting people living in the United States (US) and other developed countries. Projections indicate that nearly 40% of those born today will develop cancer in their lifetime [1]. Due to many advances in oncology-directed treatments, the overall 5-year survival rate has steadily increased and is currently hovering around 67% [1].
