Postoperative muscular cramp caused by lower limb ischemia related to the unilateral popliteal arteriovenous fistula

The arteriovenous fistula abnormally connects an artery and vein, and results in blood flow that bypasses the capillary beds. This disease state is rare, whether the cause is congenital or acquired [1]. We report a patient who experienced a postoperative muscular cramp caused by lower limb ischemia, related to a unilateral popliteal arteriovenous fistula.
