The Blessing of Living in Interesting Times

There is an ancient Chinese blessing, "may you live in interesting times." As pediatric-focused advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs), I doubt that any of us would deny we live in interesting times. Data show that the number of at-risk children and adolescents continues to outpace system capacity, we are on the cusp of a technological revolution that will reshape every aspect of our lives, and there is an unprecedented political divide that has resulted in a breakdown of national discussion on important health issues and deep divisions amongst families, friends, and neighbors.
