Schwannoma is the one of the benign tumors that originates from the schwann cells which cover the peripheral nerves. It is commonly seen at sixth decade and often seen in head and neck. It rarely origins from intercostal nerves. It has the Antoni A and Antoni B cells in microscopic examination histopathologically. It is commonly asymptomatic as in our case but patients can have pain, paresthesia and signs of mass compression. The computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging are helpful for the location and characteristics of the tumor in the diagnosis. The surgical resection of mass is diagnostic and therapeutic. The total resection of mass via videothoracoscopy is more advantageous procedure with short length of stay in hospital and less incision.

Priapism is prolonged painful erection and can be seen as a sickle cell anemia complication.Thrombosis of the corpus cavernosum is a rare condition. A thirty years old male with of sickle cell anemia was admitted to our clinic with priapism. Corpus cavernosum aspiration and exchange transfusion were performed. Painful erection declined but the pain didn't improved. Corpus cavernosum thrombosis was detected and his pain relieved after systemic anticoagulation treatment. Thrombosis of corpus cavernozum must be in the mind especially for patients who have complaints despite conventional treatment methods.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the amount of N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminidase(NAG) in the 24 h urine output of patients with normotensive pregnancies(control) group with mild preeclampsia(study) group and to detect the presence of renal tubular injury in mild preeclampsia patients. Methods: The study was conducted among 13 patients study group and 15 patients control group between January 2013 - January 2014.All pregnants were chosen from the third trimester (31-37 gestational week) to decrease the difference in the NAG measurement. The 24 h urine output and protein, glomerular filtration rate, systolic and diastolic arterial pressures, serum creatinine, and 24 h urine NAG values of the pregnants were calculated. Results: Statistical difference was not detected among gestational week, 24 h urine volume(mL), serum creatinine(mg/dL), and glomerular filtration rates of the control and the study groups. The differences of the 24 h urine protein(U/l), systolic and diastolic arterial blood pressures(mmHg), and 24 h urine NAG (p≤0.05) between groups were statistically significant. A significant correlation was found between the NAG values and 24 h urine protein. Conclusion: We found that in this study; 1)evaluating the impact of protein assessment along with NAG, which indicates both glomerular and tubular injuries, is important, and that 2) renal tubular injury occurs in patients with mild preeclampsia but it didnt make any changes of serum creatinine.
